1. When the Air Does Laugh

    When the Air Does Laugh

    4 Jul – 6 Sept 2026

    Ground Floor Gallery

In this exhibition, Hannah Waldron explores the mode of attention encountered in her natural dye garden and at her loom. Using linen and yarns coloured with plants she grew herself, Hannah’s woven works are a record of time spent in her allotment. Over the past few years, she has focused on following her intuition; finding a sense of wonder in the relational and rhythmic hands-on work of gardening, drawing, and weaving. The result is a body of work that captures the quiet magic of paying close attention to the natural world.

  2. Nordic Lights exhibition at Christie’s

    Nordic Lights exhibition at Christie’s

Opening today - Nordic Lights at Christie’s London. I am pleased to have been invited to show several of my textile works in the exhibition celebrating artists, designers and makers from across the Nordic countries, where light is a defining element of life and culture.

Alongside the collection of historical and contemporary works by Nordic artists, I am one of the three further artists featured whose works are influenced by the Nordic region. Since studying at Konstfack in Stockholm 10 years ago, my work has continued to be infused by the ideas, philosophies and nature and craft embedded experiences I was fortunate to encounter there.

With works by Munch, Karin Mamma Andersson, Pekka Halonen, Reidar Särestöniemi and Josef Frank and others.

    Open November 20th - December 12th

  3. Kindred Spirits - Drawing and weaving summer course 26.06. – 02.07.2026 in Erlau (Odenwald)

Next June I will be joining visual artist Johanna Schmal in leading a week long workshop in drawing and weaving in Erlau, Germany. We are planning something very special, working with tracing our intuitive sense of connection in dialogue with the place and the group as well as with materiality, craftsmanship and art.

We will begin by attuning to the natural environment through drawing and listening based approaches, then, playing with scale, perspective, shape, symbolism and abstraction will be a search for imagery that visualises our observations and creates a conceptual language of its own. Translating these ideas into woven designs and dyeing yarns with plants for our own colour palette will be part of a holistic, hands-on process.

By exploring the landscape with all our senses and sharing within the group, we will connect to the place and the moment while delving into our inner worlds of memory and experience. Across the week, we will embrace the gifts of stillness, slow flow, and connectivity and interweave our discoveries into a talismanic tapestry.

It has been such a joy to design this course, I cannot wait to meet all the participants and work together through this process - if you would like to join us, all the details are here.
