Something Like Static

Drawn over the course of a year, these selected sketchbook drawings of flowers and plants by Hannah Waldron marked a shift in Hannah’s practice, where she began to notice her attention being increasingly drawn to the botanical world. Through a close daily observational drawing practice, an intuitive feeling began to emerge that there was something invisible yet strangely electric  surrounding them, something like murmurs in the garden…something like attention making way for listening …something like static… is what’s making its way from world to observer, from pencil to paper.
